Blue Moon

How adorable are these two sweethearts? We were just leaving Teresa's Mexican Restaurant when I turned around to look back at the building. I grabbed my camera for a few quick shots through the window and they both just smiled. Two cute, blue, smurfs under a blue moon!

This is last nights left over basil fried rice from Roat Osha. I got home, looked at my photos from today and they all sucked! So, THANK YOU for being tolerant of my lazy photo choice for today.

Tequila, straw hats, white shirts.....am I in Minneapolis? I caught these guys on the patio at Roat Osha tonight. It feels like I went South of the border.

Hulk Hunger

I stole this idea from my friend Jesi, but I didn't need to set it up. Hulk just got done working out and was looking for some nourishment. I grabbed my camera and got up on the counter to snap a few. Voila!

Purple Lookout

I took more than 400 photos today. Probably more than any other day since I started this blog. I had so much to choose from but I kept coming back to this one. This is my son looking out at the river from under the 35W bridge. The architecture, the color, the railing.....I'm just loving the whole scene.

Grandview

I got done with work at 10:00, hadn't taken one picture yet for the day and was starving! I needed to find something interesting FAST!
I always love the colors coming from this old theater, and when I pulled up there were about a dozen bikers coming towards me. I got about 10 shots before they were past. This one's the winner. Kind of looks like a ghost in the frame, no?

Never Ending Showers

I am officially depressed. We get 12 weeks of Summer if we're lucky and I just see them going down the drain. Literally. I kept a great attitude all winter, I retained my sense of humor through the cold Spring, but now it's "Summer" and I can't muster up anymore tolerance.
Please Mother Nature, give us some real heat and bunch of sunshine.  I am desperate.

Split Personality

Here are the facts: I fit a lot in today and I had several surprises. It was one of those days I felt like I had little control over, but I rolled with it from morning until tonight. I wear many hats in a day and this represents that with a bit of humor.

HOT

This is my husbands dinner at The Rusty Taco tonight.
I haven't been able to eat the last few days due to an esophageal infection (don't ask), but that doesn't mean I've lost my appetite! I noticed since this happened I've been taking a lot of pictures of food.
 Mmmmm!

That's Fast!

The fog was thick tonight and I was trying for some shots to show that, but this one of the Hiawatha line zipping by and the city lights in the background interested me more.

School's Out

It is officially Summer break for all grade school kids in Minnesota! I found a lot full of empty busses and spent awhile trying to get some good shots. I climbed on top of them, I went inside of them, and I stood in the center of about 80 of them. This is the winner.
Hooray for Summer break!!!

Selby

I've always loved this painting. It's on an old brick building on Selby Avenue. I had nothing today, so I drove over on a break from work and took a few shots. I'm glad I did because I got nothing after this either!

Blooming Showers

The day started beautifully and turned on us by late afternoon. I managed to come up with this before it got too dark. Considering it was pouring when I got this shot, I'm pretty happy with it!

Water Tower

I walked by the Golden Valley water tower today and saw all these great shadows cast on the ground. I ended up liking this one looking up the middle of it, and decided to go with black and white to enhance all the metal wires.

8th Hole Hydration

First day on the course this year! This shot says so much, I love it. Do you think this guy needs a new glove?

Walking Into The Sunset

This is my daughter walking on the railroad tracks by our house tonight. I like her shadow and the darkness falling, and the way the setting sun shines through her hair.

Would You Kiss This?

This is a shot of my reflection in a creepy public restroom earlier today. There is a shark mural on the wall behind me and a bunch of women kissed the filthy mirror with different colors of lipstick. It's weird, but it works for me!

Our Newest Addition

This is Wade. In this photo you can't really tell how small he is, but he's just a baby. His parents disappeared and I'm ashamed to admit that my dog Gert killed his brothers. Our family has been feeding him for a couple weeks now and today he took an asparagus spear right from my hand. I did not take this with a zoom lens and I did not enlarge it. I was about a foot away from him.

I know a lot of homeowners don't like squirrels, but isn't he cute?

Movie Tonight

This is upstairs in the Edina Theater. I was kind of in the area tonight and have always wished I had my camera with when I've been there. The place was empty, but someone left behind a hat and glasses. I immediately loved it! It goes so well with the retro feel of the old theater.

Catfish and HEAT in Saint Paul

It was 102 degrees today in the city! Woohoo! All I can say is finally! This boy asked me to take his picture when he saw my camera. How could I refuse? Everything about this shot feels like I'm in the South.

Summer Snowfall

Check this out. This is cotton from the trees in my neighborhood. It was covering the ground and blowing around so thick I had to take some shots. I couldn't quite capture how much was in the air in the photos that were in focus, but I think this shot with a bit of blur does the trick nicely. Snow in June? This year anything seems possible!

Sunshine Veil

It was Grand ol' Day today. This is my friend Nellipherous at the parade this morning with the sun coming through her hat. Can you imagine the tan lines if she didn't use sunscreen!!

Dizzy Doors

Edina Art Fair. I was playing around with my lenses and zooming in and out on subjects. This is a line of open restaurant doors. It kind of makes me want to hurl, but it's artistic and I was at the ART fair!

Dancing Flames

This is a shot of our first bonfire of the season. When I went to black and white I realized I would like to have a blown up print of this on my wall, so I stayed with it.

Rasta Rabbit

Does something look a bit off about this bunny? One of his ears is growing backwards and he appears to have horns of some kind. He hangs out at the Andre-Franca Studio and is real friendly. He's also adorable if he wasn't so.... um, odd looking.
