Peace and Quiet

I took a quick detour into the Basilica this morning before heading to work. When I was there last time, there were a couple other shots I thought had potential and I was lacking time today, so I took the easy route if you will.
I went in, took about 6 shots, and I got out. But I did take enough time to absorb the quiet.
It translates quite well I think.

Open Invitation....(for another week)

This is a simple shot of one of the beaches at Lake Calhoun. I am keenly aware of Summer's fading warmth and long days, so I am on the lookout for last glimpses of my most beloved season.
The blue water was begging me to take a dip!

Tonight my baby is legal in every way. You may think this is an odd choice for such an event, but I took lots of snapshots of the family and the birthday girl with her friends, and none of them were right for my blog.
We were together when I took this shot earlier today, and you will all have to trust me when I tell you that this one is just right.

Baby Barefeet

                 I had a photo shoot today at the conservatory with baby Paige.
                                          This is one of my favorites.

Sprinkler Blast

Sunday. My day to sit in front of the TV and watch football until my heart's content. I am not content. The Bears lost, I'm mad at my husband, and I have no desire to go out and find a better shot than this one!
(This all sounds maybe a little angrier than I really am).
At halftime I went out and took a few shots of the sprinkler drenching this tree in my front yard. I like the color pop of the green and the water spraying and dripping in all directions.

Not So Itsy Bitsy

I believe this is my second spider shot since I started my blog.  I couldn't help it, the sun was shining perfectly on him as he went along weaving his web.
